Santogold In Saint Louis
Santogold in Saint Louis
There were so many things that made attending this concert worth witnessing, from the mega-humongous boom box scrolling concert dates in neon lights to the skeleton head-man who made it rain $1 bills on stage (a powerful fan made sure the dollars didn't go very far). I'd have to give an MVP award to Amanda Blank, the second act. Pelvis pumping, she gave mad energy on every bass bumping beat, singing "I might like you better if we slept together." She even joined Santogold twice, the last time performing a rendition of I Need Love. Santogold definitely brought out the crowd, who pumped fists in the air along with her and the sunglass-clad band. Overall, strong performance, and a special shout out to the backup singers for forty-five minutes of ultra-unexpected dance moves.
